This is a staple in my regimen and a must-have for barrier-compromised skin
I use this mask repeatedly in spite of the cost (and the fact that I get all other beauty products for free due to my job). It helped me heal from my dermatitis, but also helps the skin to heal pre- and post-treatments when the skin barrier is compromised. It works to flood the skin with Oxygen by using encapsulated CO2 to harness the Bohr effect. The result is glowing, healing, and over time, healthier tissue. It is cooling on, reduces redness, and incredibly anti-inflammatory. The ingredients are truly fantastic for rebuilding the barrier, as well.
This mask is a godsend! I’ve never experienced such immediate results.
For best results, get the 3-pack!
I've been eyeing these masks for a long time, never quite managing to click that "add to cart" button because - let's be honest - they are ungodly expensive for a single-use product. Even the regular version of this mask, which is supposedly 30% less active than the "Pro" version and sold on co2lift.com, will cost you $93 for a single treatment or $87 if you sign-up for monthly deliveries. I'm sure that there are more expensive single-use masks on the market, but when I fork-over this kind of cash, it's usually for something that I can use repeatedly, such as a device or at least a bottle of something that will last me a month or so. However, after giving birth for the second time this January (and, consequently, becoming very short on sleep and the ability to visit an esthetician or dermatologist), I finally decided to take the plunge and bought two of the CO2Lift Pro treatment 3 packs here with a 20% discount. Happy Mother's Day to me! I did a little research and decided to use a rapid protocol with the first three masks (Day 1 - mask; Day 2 - off; Day 3 - mask; Day 4 - off; Day 5 - mask), which I have just completed. I will space the next three treatments out to once a month to maintain my results. Here are my tips: Once mixed, this mask becomes a very thick gel, which you should apply in a thick, frosting-like layer to whatever areas you intend to treat as quickly as possible. However, it does take a minute or two for the mask to begin to "set," so it will move and ooze downward a bit for a minute or two after you first apply it. If you can remember to start your application up a little bit higher than where you ultimately want the product to settle, you may find that you feel more comfortable while wearing it for the next 45 to 60 minutes. Especially true for the upper eyelids. Leave the edges of the mask as thick as possible, if you want to peel it off afterwards. A gentle washcloth and warm water will easily remove any dried or stuck-on bits. One treatment is enough to cover my face, neck, and the backs of both of my hands, if I use a small rubber spatula to scrape every last bit out of the mixing bowl. If you wish, you can apply a water-based serum to your skin prior to applying the mask and the action of the CO2 mask (via the Bohr effect) will help the serum to ********* more deeply into your skin. I used a water-base multi-peptide serum under all of my treatments. This mask really is very gentle and can be applied directly to the eyelids and across the lips, if so desired. I did both during all three of my first round of treatments and did not experience any discomfort. There is a mild, "fizzing" sensation while the mask is active, like little soda bubbles on your skin. I did not experience any stinging or irritation of any kind, not even on my lips or delicate eyelid skin. One treatment will make your skin glow and feel nicely moisturized. The next morning, I also noticed that the dark circles under my eyes were not as pronounced, which was very nice, and the glow-y, moisturized appearance of my skin remained all that next day, even after washing and prior to applying any skincare products. If you have a big event or night out planned and you just want to do something a bit "extra" as part of your party prep, a single treatment applied a few hours beforehand could be a very nice addition to your routine. However, results really started to become more noticeable the day after I applied the second treatment. My skin became even more luminous and my fine lines are now practically non-existent. The texture of my skin started to change as well. The skin on the backs of my hands is exceptionally soft now, even after washing them several times a day and skipping moisturizer. A large, hormonal acne spot that I was treating with BHA minimized with the first CO2 mask and then disappeared after the second one. I applied the third treatment mask two days ago and, if possible, my results are even more impressive! My skin has a "bouncy" quality to it now that I don't think it's had since I was in my early twenties (probably not even then as I wasn't particularly good about taking care of my skin at that age). Every-other skincare product out there claims to "plump" the skin but, seriously, my lips and cheeks look like I maybe had a little subtle filler put in them or something! What else can I say? The results with these treatment masks really are cumulative. After three years of ambivalence, I might just be addicted to these things, now. The results that I've gotten from three CO2 Lift Pro treatments has been more pronounced than what I got with my at-home LED and radio frequency devices after weeks of use! You can bet that I'll be watching like a hawk for future discount codes!
I used this mask post Morpheus8 at it was sooo a helpful in the recovery process. I definitely reduced the redness and inflammation!!
