Also known as vitamin A, encapsulated retinol, retinyl palmitate
What is retinol?
Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that speeds up skin cell turnover and stimulates collagen production. With consistent use it softens fine lines, fades dark spots, and keeps pores clear. It is the most studied anti-aging ingredient in skincare, and nearly every professional brand we carry offers a version of it.

Start with two nights a week for the first two weeks, then add a night as your skin tolerates it. Most skin adjusts to nightly use within six to eight weeks.
You need SPF 30 or higher every morning. Retinol brings fresh skin to the surface, and that skin burns more easily.
You can use retinol around your eyes if you pick an eye cream made for that area. The skin there is thin, so a regular face retinol is often too strong.
Start with 0.25% or 0.3%. Move up to 0.5% after about three months if your skin isn't dry or peeling.
