Ferulic Acid

Also known as hydroxycinnamic acid, C E Ferulic

What is ferulic acid?

Ferulic acid is an antioxidant found in the cell walls of rice, oats, and bran. It fights the free radicals that sun and pollution create, and it keeps vitamin C and vitamin E stable. In one well-known study, adding it to a vitamin C and E serum doubled the serum's sun-damage protection.

Ferulic Acid FAQs

Ferulic acid protects your skin from sun and pollution damage. It also keeps vitamin C from breaking down in the bottle.

Apply it in the morning on clean skin, then moisturizer and sunscreen.

Ferulic acid isn't an exfoliant. It is an antioxidant, so it doesn't peel or thin your skin.

You can use both in one routine. Most people use ferulic acid in the morning and retinol at night.
