What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are ingredients that neutralize free radicals, the unstable molecules that sun and pollution create in your skin. Left alone, free radicals break down collagen and cause dark spots. Vitamin C, vitamin E, ferulic acid, niacinamide, and green tea are the most common antioxidants in skincare.

Antioxidants FAQs
Apply them in the morning, under sunscreen. That is when your skin faces the most sun and pollution.
Antioxidants don't replace sunscreen. They catch the damage that gets past your SPF, so the two work best together.
Vitamin C has the most research behind it. Formulas that add vitamin E and ferulic acid protect better than vitamin C alone.
You can layer several, and many serums already blend them. Different antioxidants cover different kinds of damage.
