Favorite Vitamin C Products By Our PA ~ Amy

Increased screen time? Increased time outdoors? It’s more important than every for you to have a great antioxidant serum. Vitamin C has been shown to increase collagen production, decrease pigmentation and provide additional UVA protection. When I asked for other “Top 5” posts you wanted to see, antioxidant and Vitamin C serums was the number one response. While I love the idea of Top 5’s there are really 4 Vitamin C products that I love for different reasons. So I’ve teamed up with Exclusive Beauty Club, an authorized online skin care retailer, to tell you all about them! A quality Vitamin C serum is crucial. The ingredient can be unstable and so much care must be taken when formulating and packaging the product in order to preserve its efficacy until it gets to your skin. For now, here are my top picks!

1. SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic. This is no surprise and you’ve probably heard this name many times before. This product is considered one of the OG Vitamin C serums. It’s been clinically studied and Skinceuticals itself was started by the pioneering physician who did much of the research on Vitamin C to begin with. Because it is L-ascorbic acid and therefore formulated at a low pH it may cause stinging and so is not recommended for sensitive skin types.

2. Jan Marini C-Esta. This C-serum contains ascorbyl palmitate rather than L-ascorbic acid, it is less acidic and therefore better tolerated by more sensitive types. 

3. Revision Skin Care C+ Correcting. Another great option for sensitive skin types, this serum contains THD Ascorbate which is a lipid soluble analog of L-ascorbic acid and again is better tolerated by sensitive types. This is my personal favorite and the one I use daily.

4. Clarity Rx Good To Go Wipes. This product is super convenient and can be thrown in your work bag, taken on trips, or even on adventures like camping where you are more limited. They’re also great for the men in your life because they’re a one stop shop. They contain hyaluronic acid and a stable form of Vitamin C. If you’re a skin care minimalist or just always on the go: these are for you!
